ABOUT

Mandala Chain is a network built to bridge the gap between Emerging and Global Blockchain Markets. Our first use case is Indonesia, where strategic resources and partnerships give us advantages we can leverage to expand into broader markets. Indonesia, the 4th largest population globally, is poised for blockchain adoption. A young tech-savvy population that has already embraced the ethos of blockchain coupled with government-friendly regulation creates a perfect storm for onboarding millions of new users and use cases.

Our strategy begins by forging strong partnerships and relationships within government and enterprise sectors. This approach includes building private, permissioned blockchain networks that can integrate with our public, permissionless infrastructure. We aim to facilitate seamless cross-chain value transfer, bridging the gap between current demand and innovative strategic use cases across Indonesia.

KEPENG (KPG)

The native token of Mandala Chain will be KPG, an homage to an ancient currency used throughout Indonesia historically and still being used for ceremonial purposes on the island of Bali, the location of Mandala Chain headquarters.

The Kepeng currency, has a rich history deeply intertwined with the island’s cultural and economic life. They were often made of tin or copper, and believed to have been introduced to parts of Indonesia through trade with China during the Majapahit Empire in the 13th century. This Hindu-Buddhist empire, known for its cultural and commercial expansion, facilitated the integration of Kepeng into the local economies of the Indonesian archipelago. The coins are recognizable by their circular shape with a square hole in the center. This design was typical of ancient Chinese cash coins.

Entities & Governance

Three key entities will govern Mandala Chain until our community and ecosystem matures: Mandala Chain Foundation, Baliola, and Republik Labs. Here is a brief explanation of the roles all three play in our ecosystem.

Mandala Chain
Foundation

Mandala Chain Foundation (MCF) will govern the token, treasury, and support community/ecosystem growth. This is somewhat of an Operational arm for the entire Mandala Chain network. MCF manages tokenenomics for KPG including treasury governance, liquidity provisioning, and token distribution through private/public sales and grant programs. Community governance will also be a key role that MCF will play. The eventual goal is a DAO-based governance model once the community and protocol mature. In the interim, developing proposal structures, SOPs, and best practices will be key in transitioning to this end goal.

Baliola

Baliola is considered the Engineering arm of the Mandala Chain ecosystem. Baliola is in charge of the technical governance of Mandala Chain, including blockchain maintenance, research, development, and security. Through transparent proposal structures, Baliola is able to leverage the MCF treasury to continue building out the technical infrastructure required for a thriving hybrid layer 1. Mandala Enterprise and the solutions required within will also be developed by Baliola.

Republik Labs

Republik Labs (RL) is in charge of community and ecosystem growth. A partnership with Republik Rupiah, Indonesia’s fast-growing crypto news and media brand, RL will build our social platforms and manage our online communities. RL will also be heavily involved in project incubation and partnering with existing dApps and ecosystems to broaden Mandala Chain’s exposure to the rest of the blockchain space. RL will help with our public-facing initiatives and growth, including managing Mandala Chain ambassadors – our global initiative to spread Mandala Chain inside/outside Indonesia and SE Asia.

Our initiative to upskill local talent, incubate projects, and spread awareness of use cases within government and enterprise.

Our initiative to upskill local talent, incubate projects, and spread awareness of use cases within government and enterprise.

Government Blockchain Bootcamps:

3-5 day workshops with various government departments within Indonesia. The goal is to educate on the potential use cases that blockchain can provide and plan implementation.

Blockchain Developer Academy

A key pillar in our ecosystem is the upskilling of local talent. Our dev academy will bring bright minds from blockchain to lecture developers transitioning into the space.

Blockchains for Enterprise Bootcamps

Similar to government boot camps, these workshops are built for specific enterprise use cases. Backed by extensive ongoing research and our Dhategate Web2-Web3 solution, we aim to help enterprises transition seamlessly.
